Our 6 week course runs from 7th January to 11th February.
Wednesday evenings at 7pm.
Covering difficult topics, and those that are frequently answered poorly in exams
Mission
Our Approach
At LSFRCA, we are dedicated to providing high-quality anaesthetic courses designed by senior anaesthetic registrars, all of whom have recent experience with the FRCA.

Towards the end of the pandemic, we felt there was no easy to access, online, local primary SBA course for trainees in our deanery. So, with that in mind, we started our first course - delivered to 4 people. Over the past 3 years we have slowly grown to the point of now offering our course nationally before every sitting of the primary FRCA SBA examination.
We have now successfully launched a weekly course in addition to the original which we aim to keep growing. Both courses have consistently had excellent feedback and we make changes based on the feedback we receive.
Our goal is to empower aspiring trainees with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to excel in their exams and progress with their careers.

Impact of feedback
Since we started LSFRCA, feedback ha been the cornerstone to the evolution of our courses. Your suggestions are an invaluable component to our highly rated satisfaction scores and have led to a number of improvements including:

Introduced Mentimeter on the half day course to allow participants to confidentially see the answers given by their colleagues to help guide their revision and exam technique.

Increased the difficulty of questions in the weekly course.

Increased the length of the weekly course from its initial 4 week span to now 6 weeks.

Altered the start dates of the weekly course.

Altered the timing of the half day course to be closer to the end of the weekly course, giving candidates a longer period between the half day course and the exam.

Altered the way the half day course is described on this website to make the differences between the two courses clearer.

Added requested topics to the weekly course such as statistics.
